Snowflake Clown not well - HELP

I have a female snowflake clown that is not well. I think she has the gill parasite as I have seen her scratch her gills on the live sand.

All she does is stay in the corner and sometimes even lays there. Not eating either. She is the prized fish in my cube.

I tried freshwater dip for 4 minutes yesterday and it helped. But today she is back to the same.

Should I try the freshwater dip again today or tomorrow and should I dose the freshwater with medication? Not sure what to use that would be safe on the clownfish and still be effective on the parasite. Please help.

you should probably make a hospital tank and treat it with copper. Copper is really toxic so read the label for therapeutic dose and not use it in your main tank.

I try to go in a less invasive/less toxic treatment but is bad news if its not eating or is getting immobile.

Good luck.

Copper is not a good idea without first identifying what it may be. Copper is not effective against everything.

I'm gathering that you didn't quarantine the fish, so the tank is now infected and whatever treatment you try will be undone when you return the fish to the infected tank.

You will have to set up a treatment tank that can be sterilized easily. Ideally you get two 10 gallon tanks, pumps, heaters,... so that you can easily swap equipment.

If a freshwater bath helps then ich can be excluded.
Possible infections:
- Brooklynella
- Amyloodinium
- Gill flukes (Monogenean)

Pictures of the fish and possibly a video (please not vertical) would help to narrow it down.
