Snowflake moray eel safe in reef?

Is there any reason you can't keep a snowflake moray eel in a reef?

I currently have a small one (about the length and width of a pencil) in a 30g fish only tank that i'm breaking down.

But I really like him and was thinking about moving him to my big 150 gallon reef rather than get rid of him.

I do have a few cleaner shrimp in there, but first I don't think he could catch them, and second I think he's too small to eat them.

I know he won't do any damage to corals.

So would he be ok to move over? Or is it not a good idea?

In my experience the most "reef friendly" eel would be the zebra moray.

The snowflake tends to dig quite alot, which might result in:

1. rockwork being rearranged
2. sand flying everywhere

In regards to your cleaner shrimp, if it isnt well fed and is quite agro. It will catch and eat them, just a matter of time.

50/50 on your shrimp and crabs. I've heard stories of them taking every last one out and others that have left them alone entirely. It's a chance... So far I've not introduced any crustaceans or small fish to my Snowflake.
