Well I thought I had stumbled into the perfect meeting spot today.

It has food. (ALL you can eat, 18 kinds of pizza, FULL salad bar, desert bar, etc..)
Large meeting rooms (120+ people)
Can be sectioned off from the main patrons
Has a HUGE arcade AND rides, for kids to be turned loose on
Projectors and screens
Right off interstate 80 and right next to 65
Room rental is free.
Will allow us to bring in corals and fish

Here's the MAIN show stopper though!!!
I was so crushed when I found this out.
Because it's an all you can eat; EVERY SINGLE person MUST pay full price to get into the building, even if they just wanted to come to the meeting and NOT eat..
:(

SOOOO Close yet SOOO far...

Anyways if you guys get a chance check out "Johns Incredible Pizza"

It's located where the Sams Club in Roseville used to be (Next to Good feet store and Shane, Co.)

The place is SO massive!!!
If you have kids this is a MUST go CHECK it out.
Adults $10.00 all you can eat and drink.

They even have an indoor roller coaster for kids!!

It makes Chuckey Cheeze look like "Childs play" hehhehe

Hoh well...

Just don't go there after about 5pm. That place gets so crowded, and most people cut in front of you while you're waiting for pizza to be ready. I'll only go there again IF we can get a MARS only night!

Amazing. Something for everyone. Not just pepperoni and combo, they have "speciality" pizzas, and random combo's. Worth the money, not the crowd.

I know.
I actually like the meeting place, but that might be due to my own personnel selfish interests :)
It's only about 10 minutes away from me.

But I'm totally open to a new place if the club agrees upon it.

I've been there. Its alright, the one in Modesto is better. But that place on a Friday night Is JAMMED pack.

Traffic would be a PIA

But a very good idea

how many people like hometown buffet?

We are not getting kicked out by RT,
there was a thread in which several members expressed interest in a larger location for our meetings (Because we are so packed in RT)

So while I'm not actively looking for a new place, I am keeping my eyes open when I'm out and about.

I don't really think there's much of a place to fit us better than RT.
I still need to talk to RPM, but not sure they can handle food for us, or would let us over take the facility on a Fri Night.

I personally don't like hometown.
It also has the main show stopper as well
"Because it's an all you can eat; EVERY SINGLE person MUST pay full price to get into the building, even if they just wanted to come to the meeting and NOT eat.."

Not a fan of hometown, If i was going to have to pay to get in each month i would definetly take Johns incredible pizza over hometown.

I cant see any place else except Round table. I just wish it were better located cause i know we would have alot more members.

At the risk of getting Blasted... I'd suggest that the FOOD issue is not really required. I think it distracts from the presenters and clutters an allready overcrowded room with dirty plates wadded napkins and half filled drink cups (which at least one gets spilled). I could do without the food if it meant the difference between finding a centralized location with more space. Until then, I'll keep making the haul halfway to nevada. :eek2: I'd look for a place out here in Vacaville, but I'm sure that would be a little out of the way.:p:

The reason is, last time the members voted that the place must have food.
I think you're one of the few way down there :)

Yeah, but it would be H*** to get to Roseville on a Friday night.

Boy do I second that. Getting to the meets at the current location is a pain. If you move it further north I won't be able to get there until after it's over. I have to knock off work early just to get there on time now.

Steve...Not waffling on the food...I've never been a fan of it. I just know that was one of the driving forces behind the search. I bet removing the food restriction would open up many more possibilities. To be honest....lots of talk on my part doesn't add up to much. I appreciate the group the board has built and enjoy learning more about the hobby. The drives a BIOTCH but if that's my biggest gripe, then I'm not that bad off. I'll still come regardless.
