well they are gone and could have told me about vacation when i placed my order I might have waited .TBS that is.ordered 55 gal package approx 12 days ago.took many phone calls to get a call back.(I was very understanding as being just a few peopleand very busy this time of year i,m sure)Besides started in jan 04 what was a few more days.I had small problem in the beginning. little to no water in boxes with rock.boxes leaking and falling apart including the styrofoam.had to put a board under just to pick one of them up. at this point im still o.k. with this, sort of. becuase ben doing a lot of reading but it can never be enough.web site says to stir the sand and dump water as "this will remove most of the silt".well the last box I opened.(not really opened as top portion of box was all that was left to the carton). had intructions on the box.It said put whole bag of sand in.not a big deal but i probably dump a lot of the life in the sand out. people talk aboutall the life on thier rocks. me to! so far all i have seen/heard are 3,4 maybe more mantis shrimp they are so flipping smart i allmost can't believe it. I have ben tring to catch them. nasty things that they are they don't belong in my reef tank.tried calling for advise several times 3 days worth of trying(because of a dying sponge)finally got through. by now i have gone through 70 gal of r/o water and then 130 gal of just tap water So whats the problem. Called later in week as my tank was now ready and desperate for the second half. ALGAE!!,and excitement! 2nd half supposed to better?Even if they were not going to ship I would really of liked call. had ?'s and wanted to add to my order not to menten the anxiousness of just getting a reply. now i have $300 of of eat everything in site mantis shrimp
and Algae that in 3 wks will be nasty.they didn't even have answering machine on fri, sat.....so discouraged,sad,disappointed.

if i do another tank i wont be using them.just for the simple fact of the shape of the rocks.other than that (and the 2 mantis) i really loved thier rock.but also on a plus,i traded the 2 mantis for some really nice zoos.so you can kinda say that the rock came with zoos also...........lol............oh yea,you cant beat the coraline algea growth on thier rocks

setting up my second Reef. I just picked up my second half awsome stuff. Full of life. Cycle managable if you pay attention to your rock. If you like dead pink rock got to your local Fish Store. I you want rock that is living Get TBS and deal with the critters.

Did you file a compaint or notice (or whatever) with the airlines? They won't accept leaking boxes for shipment so one would have to assume that they were damaged in transport.

In any event, those TBS "sons-of-#%@&'s" should clear their vacation time with all current and potential customers inconvenienced during their vacation. Somebody must know where they are. Let's get their vacation phone number so they can resume customer support like they should. In your case, they can call the airlines and file a complaint on your behalf, answer questions in between margaritas, tell you how to catch mantis shrimp because there isn't enough information on the Intranet, or at least ship you additional saltwater to replace all that you've used.

I'm with you Willray. Poor customer service cannot be tolerated, so I have made it my mission to find out where they are.

BTW...good luck with your reef tank and do not take my response seriously.

Or you could just capture the mantis shrimp, they arnt that hard to get. I had 2 in my order and all I had to do was take out the rocks they were living in and squirt RO water into their hole. Out they came with np.

Oops. Accidentally voted no. I should have read the question first... :rolleye1: Anyway, my package was one for a 135 gallon tank. VERY AWESOME. This was actually about 4 years ago. Since then, i have passed this rock along, and am hoping to get more from them soon. Thanks TBS.
