well after adding a flame angel to my reef tank today all seems well. It came out of a tank that was stocked with coral which added to my decision to buy him, and He hasnt even looked at the coral .
After aclimating him and introducing him into the tank i fed him about 20 minutes later and he ate which supprised me! After eating he has been extremely active and has been swimming all over.

Hopefully all stays the same!

My flame will not touch any coral or clam except for one open brain in particular. I had to move the open brain to another tank, but other than that, my flame never pics on anything.

If you have any open brain corals keep an eye on them.

My flame angel leaves my open brain alone. I have seen him pick at an SPS but I think the SPS was starting to RTN and he was going after the micro algae growing on the SPS.

well im hoping things stay good like i said he came from a tank that had coral in it already and he didnt seem to even pay attention to it.

Your lucky. Well for now anyway, we had a angel that didn't seem to eat on the brains until we bought a new brain Then a couple weeks ago she started picking on everything--she got her eviction notice by way of the trap. So now shes staying at Johns looking for a new home along with the 6 line that decided to start picking on the firefish. Amazing that they can live with each other for awhile then decide they own the tank.LOL
