So here's the scoop.

For those of you who have been be asking yourself wheres the Pres?
First off Im fine & so is the family, my tank is trucking along with no major issues I have been so busy im just basically keeping it low maitainance at the moment. Heres the deal, honestly after we had our first meeting everything in my opion seemed to go pretty good, there were a few hiccups but it was the first meeting & thats to be expected. No one seemed to have any issues there.

Then the next day happened & it turned into a gripe fest. Nothing but bickering & complaining. It seriously ****ed me off & pretty much turned me against the whole idea of spending my extra time with this part of the hobby, which to me is very valuable since I have 3 daughters & a wife that I could be spending all my free time with. Also I have had some changes take place in the workplace which has taken up alot of my extra time. I gone from bascially working & I use that term loosly about 30hrs a week to upwards of 60 & im starting to see the rewards from that somewhere down the road almost in reach.

I know that everyone bashed Wayne just a few months back saying he wasnt doing anything with the club but if all he heard was griping I can see where this would not be high on his priority list of things to do after a hard days work. I havent been online hardly at all & from the looks of it, it doesnt appeear as a whole lot has been going on.

This post isnt intended to push peoples buttons but just to let those interested in where Ive been kinda the ryhme & reason why I havent been online lately. I hope all is well with all & everything is great in all yor tanks.
Maybe I have taken the wrong approach in the way I handled things & if you think that then I apologize but its what I needed to do for myself & really thats all I can do.

But I have to ask - are you still going to be president? Because if you're not going to do anything, maybe there should be another election? My 2 cents.

Glad everything's okay with you. However I'm with Zach in that if you want to be able to walk away for months whenever you don't like what's being said, the club probably should have someone a little more dedicated as it's president, don't you think?

A little harsh... man take that off line.... The man is simply letting folks know what is going on. If you have a concern give him the decency of a PM.

This is a club and not a company. The fact that people are fighting, bickering, whatever is absolutly normal in society today, not that I like it.

As a former officer of this club, my suggestion is to keep the *****ing off the public side and settle issues in a more respectful manner.

I havent been on for a while myself cause of all the issues I'm still trying to get straight with the house cause of the flooding but I'm getting there..

I think it sucks that we didnt get going like I would have wanted us to get going... The whole negativity thing didnt faze me at all it was just the not being able to get some of the ideas we had going to materialize...

He pretty much admitted he couldn't handle the fighting and stepped away from responsibilities as president. He said he was concentrating on family and work. That's perfectly acceptable and understandable.

It's all out in the open, and what was said is perfectly on the level and was not bashing him or anything. If he can't stick through the tough times as well as bad, that's not leadership and a very valid question was asked. Nobody even started getting negative until you said "keep the *****ing off the public side" - nobody is *****ing, just trying to come up with a solution to a problem.

Dude, what do you expect? You said you couldn't handle it. I asked a legitimate question. Where's the negativity in that? Seriously? Where was the griping?

You put yourself out there. Good, I congratulate you on that.

Hay mike I hope everything is ok with you I wasn't shure how many got hit by the flood. By the way if anyone was they may be able to get some sales tax back from purchases. Jason I feal for you also for the comment on having another election if some one resigns the BOD appoints a replacement. I dont think just because you seped back does not mean you were not doing you job. As Erick stated this is not a company. There will be times the officers will have to rely on each other, that is why I was pushing a larger BOD. I know some times Norman ran the show for all of the officers.

Norman always did a good job I will agree with Wayne. Im just sitting back relaxin and trying to get a good reef tank up and going again. I hate everyone cant get along and I know some people bring it on themselves but as a whole we have a good group of people that always try to help each other. Even if I didnt like someone and they really needed my help Id be there because its the right thing to do. Jason I wish you the best with whatever you decide.

That was kind of snotty and elitist of you, man. I've been reefkeeping for about 6 months. Some of you have been at it for decades. Do you really think I'd have a ton to share here yet? I volunteered to help Andy with the website, but he hasn't taken me up on that yet. And now today I asked you a legitimate question for myself and those others that might be wondering the same, and you chose to attack me personally instead of answering the question? I guess that's politics for ya.

And waynesworld, I'll agree that stepping back to be with family or take care of your life isn't exactly dereliction of duty or anything. But going AWOL for 2 months when you're the president? Why is that okay?

And actually if I'm honest, I'm mostly just messing with you guys. I didn't even notice eyebedam was gone until this was posted. I have nothing against him at all, and I don't even know what he was supposed to be doing. People around here have such thin skin.
