I have a small tank with about 3 chucks of dry rock inside. I put some shrimp in this tank to cycle 3 HOB filters for use with QT's I will be setting up. The chunks of dry rock arein there being cycled for use to help cycle my DT once it gets built.
What is the usual amount of time it takes to get these things cycled?

Typically 8 to 12 weeks. Just test every so often until ammonia and nitrite are zero and nitrate is ~40ppm then do a water change.
