So I just purchased this blue carpet anemone from a show locally.

Will my two clowns host in this Anenome?

I'm not sure what specific clowns I have. Orange and a black one. Any ideas from the photo?

Does anyone know if these will host this type of anenime? If so how long? They have stayed away from this for the last three days.

Yes that anemone is a natural host for those clowns, they should have been in it by now, surpised. But give it time.

You also never said what lights you have on the tank?

AquaRay Ultima 1500 NP stats here: Do I have enough lighting for this one anenome?

Not even close. For comparison. I have a 75 gallon, so on each side, I have 68+ (3) watt cree LED, PLUS (2) T5 54 watt aquablue+, PLUS each anemone gets ATLEAST (1) 100 or 120 watt equivalent daylight clamp on LED lamp aimed at it.

IMO, flow is more important than light, but both are vital.

That fixture you listed says (8) 3 watt LED's? Won't cut it.

I agree that light is really inadequate, I wouldn't be surprised if your flow was equally as poor. You would be surprised how much flow a healthy gig can take.

Should I put them into my JBJ 28 gallon tank? Two 266 gph Accela powerheads

Here are the lighting specs Lighting Specifications
LED Wattage
Daylight
25 x 1W=14K 350mA

Moon
4 x 0.5W=456nm 60mA

Updated photo from today. How does it look? I did try to feed it a piece of fresh not frozen shrimp from the grocery store. I stuck it in the middle and curled up around it so I thought it ate it. The next morning I found that piece of shrimp in the corner of my tank. Do I have a picky eater?

How does it look? Still white with turquiose tips, and solid green base. What color will it be?

The last photo was him the first night I got him 11/7/15

Also another photo of my nitrate problem, even after two 50% water changes in three days in this 20 gallon. Any ideas on whether the gig is spiking the tests, and fixng it?

In my experience it can take a couple of months until it gets fully colored up again. Though after a month or so you should be able to see some brownish spots here and there.

I have never treated this one. I've seen a lot of posts using Cipro. I've never treated anything, would it hurt the other fish?

Did you really read the sticky about treating nems, or any other of the threads about treating them? They are usually treated in small tanks like 5-10 gals. The anemone is treated by itself in a hospital tank.

I'm just wondering where you got the idea of treating your tank? I'm assuming that you are talking about treating your tank since you're asking if it would hurt the fish.
