Over 6 months ago dealt with ich learned my lesson, I knew better and paid the price saved half of my stock with hypo and 8.5 weeks fallow

Fast forward to now i have a well set up TT system then prazipro and got a few rounds of fish through it fine.

Stock now
-Naso tang survived ich with hypo over a month
-2 chromis survived ich with hypo over a month
-yellow corks wrasse TT addition
-Christmas wrasse TT addition
-2 misbar/black clowns TT addition -prazipro
-red scooter blenny dragnet TT addition - prazipro

BUT now id like to add 1 more tang a powder blue (or Kole) but I'm so scared of all the work I've done to make my DT ich free and I'm just worried with the history of the PB that will TT be enough? or could i do TT then copper after? or should i skip it cause they ich magnets ?

Help
Don't plan on adding to many more fish maybe the tang a few anthinas and maybe dotty back

Thanks

Tangs might be ich magnets but the ich has to come from somewhere. If the DT is ich free and you QT the new fish properly, there will be no ich.

I guess i can always do the TT and if i need extra i could do copper treatment after thats all done but i guess thats probably over kill

This.. Ich is not unavoidable as long as the proper precautions are done. What you are doing is perfect and I think copper would be unnecessary unless signs are there or TT not done right.

. But forewarned if your planning on adding a PB be ready for it to likely become the king of the tank and could be really aggressive without a large domain to distract it.

Yea, i was going to do next round of fish additions

-Anthinas
-sleeper goby
-orchid dottyback

Then after that last fish into the tank would be the tang QT on his own

that would be 12 fish total

Ehm, a 125 gallon tank is a bit small for a PB and a Naso don't you think? Or actually it is a bit small for either of them...

Yes the naso will out grow the tank eventually he's small now only 2 ish inches. Plan on re homing him when he gets to large, or by then my wife may approve a new bigger build..

Yea i kinda thought the powder brown or powder blue would be better for the 125.Thats kinda why i wana go them or a kole tang. I know eventually the Naso will get big but for a while he will be fine there is a open aquascape and he's good

just QT it extra long, TT, Prazi and 40 days of observations after. you wont need to worry then.

I agree. TT will eliminate any ich possibilities. Prazi (x2) prevents flukes and the observation period eliminates some of the more fearsome parasites which will show up within that time frame.

Came here to say that the tank transfer method (TT) would ensure that the tang would be ich free.
