i will be maken my foam rock wall for my 20L. i think im going to make it completly out of foam with no rock in it whats so ever i know this really isnt typical well from what i seen but i just dont have the funds for rock right now and i dont want to take it out my up and runing tank. but once the tank is up there will be live rock in there so no problem there.ill post some pics tommrow when im building.

Foam will float. That's why you need rock in it, to counteract the buoyancy.

Even with the rock the wall will still float. If you notice most people who make these walls silicone them in place. Mine is filled with rock and epoxy on sand, yet still wanted to float really bad. To the point I was afraid it would rip off my bulkheads, so I had to make it a permanent part of the tank. Rock rubble is all you need for it...

Are you at least planning on using Epoxy and sand? I used a crush coral/argamax sand mix, and have some coraline starting to grow on it. If you leave the foam untreated/uncovered it will turn a very ugly color and texture due to the lighting.

BE SURE TO WEAR GLOVES. The foam is nasty, and makes quite a mess.

i plan on epoxying it and i plan on epoxying the whole thing to the back of the tank.
