So the breaking/chipping glass thing...

Update.... Left tv on last night in living room where her tank is.
Silence all night. At least I believe so. No one was awaken by her. Next couple nights gonna see if there is a relationship between her and the tv ...
I thought she was an avid tv fan. Caught her watching before. Wonder what she thinks the tv is???

Also. Her tank is directly opposite tv in room. So her front glass faces the 60 inch tv
So she can definitely see something when its on. Gonna get to bottom of this ...

Pretty interesting. It would be awesome if you got a video of the mantis hitting the powered down pump to get it back online! I would like to see it anyway :D Mine just sits in it's cave waiting for me to feed it :-/

I think it might have become obese and is unable to leave the rock now lol.

1 of my O.scyllarus (The Kraken) died 3-4days after a similar "Powerhead Punch", except it's dactyl hammer managed to slide between the bars which left the peacock hanging incapable of escaping/retrieving it's dactyl hammer, it must of been their for a few hours whilst I was at work and when I noticed the animal upon returning from work it was rather 'limp' after freeing it by cutting the bars that trapped it's hammer the peacock was quite lethargic and refused food, 3-4days later it died.

EDIT: As for the chipping/breaking of glass I had a full grown O.scyllarus in a 6mm tank that held up to some serious hits that woke me up in the night, they were scary sounding hits like something cracked but never found any damage.
