"Going to Wausau ... are there any good stores there?" I would love to add more!
Please see the examples

I live near there and there are three stores.

Roe's Pet and Garden - Limited on corals and fish
Petco - Fish No Corals and Limited Supplies and High Priced
Pet Solutions - Fish No Corals and Limited Supplies

There is also one place in Marshfield

Animal House Pets
9128 Central Ave
Marshfield Wi 54449
715-389-8833
Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri, SA 11-6
Closed Tuesdays

His wife and daughter run another store in Abbotsford that only has limited supplies for Saltwater.

The Marshfield Store has limited corals some exotics and usually lots of fishin very healthy condition. Fairly decent priced on items and owner is knowlegable and willing to work with you.

Where do all of you from appleton shop? So far I have found PetCo and Just Pets. PetCo was the same as every other PetCo and Just Pets was disgusting.

Well that was stupid, LOL JK

There is a guy in Neenah that sells out of his garage. Appointment only, at least last time I checked it was. Has 5 or 6 of those big black tubs you get from farm stores full of corals, nice stuff to. His number is 920-720-9694 ask for Sean.

You can also take a ride up to Green Bay to Animal Adventure Pets. Although last time I was there, there wasn't much to pick from. But that was during the really big hot spell. They may have restocked as of now.

Or if your looking for something in particular, I may be able to help you out.

I'll have to give animal adventure and the guy in neenah a whirl. Right now I'm just looking for about 5-10 lbs of nice live rock for a nano, but I miss having a good LFS or two to poke around in. My pico tank is all hitchhikers from A Splash of Life in the western suburbs.

I think I'm going to take a tour of the stores in green bay tonight. Of animal adventure, aquatic imports, and advanced aquariums are there any NOT worth visiting?

Advanced doesn't have much. I dont know if they even sell LR.

But coral wise, thats all they have are the starter corals. GSP, brown palys etc etc...

Your time would probably be better spent at Aquatic Imports. They have 10 times the selection advanced does. But just dont disagree with the old guy there. He knows everything :D

On R.C. he is "spike777" I talked to him tonight and have an appointment tomorrow. I purchased corrals from him in the past and will again. He's a very knowledgeable person and a great resource for the area, I would definitely recommend him.

FYI

Pets 4 Less in Sheboygan is closed now about a year.
He always seemed to not be interested in it anymore,
and then he decided he wanted out of the business for
a while. It is closed.

Ho - Le - COW! someone who reads old posts...! I thought this one was dead forever... I have some changes to the list, most noteable are the closing of Scotty's store Animal Adventure and the re-opening of the new store...Spike... is it Fish Unlimited? If you could post the store infor, hours and phone, I will add it to the list.

Yeah, that place in sheboygan never truely impressed me. had way to many problems getting someone to care about the person holding the money. Sad to see another one gone, but if his heart was not in it, the customers won't be either.

I pretty much stopped traveling just after my daughter was born, 2 years ago. (Gas prices forced me to.) I could resrect the list if anyone is still interested. It should only take minimal updating, and it would be prime again.

Besides, Jon and I found where Ocean's floor is, and I could add that... and a few others. I think it would be great to plan a late summer shop trip.... if anyone is interested.

J
Oh yeah, and I think Sean... 3 posts above... is out as well.

also, please don't shop at Noah's Ark in Sheboygan, let the place
close so the animals no longer have to suffer.. I hate to bash
any place, but the environment there is just bad...
Dead fish in most tanks and the smell of death is in the entire
store.
though that is my opinion.

Pet Supply Outlet in Sheboygan was always a great place to buy the 5g buckets of IO salt. they where running it for only 29.99 a bucket!!!

The fish there always have ich so becareful..

They have a huge tank with a reef shark in it, and an indoor pond with cichlids and pacu's. They didn't have a lot of corals, but they had a good selection of saltwater fish.

I was in Fox Lake this last weekend and was able to snap a couple pics. (The tank could use a little cleaning.)

I know they probably only have the tank to draw in customers, but it's still really cool, I'm going to keep going back whenever I can.

Pet Supply Outlet in Sheboygan still sell their IO 5G salt buckets for $29.99? I've never been there. Is that their daily price or a special? Tired of paying $48.99 at PetSmart.

314 N Clay St. Green Bay... New Store?

This store is called Aquatic Imports. This is their old address, the new address is 1115 Pine St
Green Bay, WI 54301

Changed, anyone else see anything else that should be added to this map, or changed... or should we move on to another territory? You suggest one that is in our market.

Joe, can you confirm the Zip on that store, I used it on the map to add it, and I got an address in Danville, considerably SOUTH of chicago and where Fox Hills is it could not find the address...?
