Soft Coral Dominated Tanks... Let's See 'em

Blide, I love that last tank. Even though it is not colorful, it just looks so organic. I can only imagine how cool that tank looks with everthing in motion.

I've just got two little nanos....a 29 and a 15. Not much coral at the moment, though I may be picking some up from a friend tomorrow.....hammer coral and some hairy shrooms....can't wait !
I'm hoping to get these two to measure up to some of the beauts that have been posted thus far ! :D

My 29...

Here is my soft coral tank, It is a 40 gallon bare bottom. I add nothing to the tank except for RO/DI makeup water added daily on a dosing pump and monthy 7 gallon water changes. Sorry, its not the best camera.

After getting inspired by the many great softie setups, I embarked on piecing together one of my own after dusting off a 29 gal I had lying around the house with corals from my two larger tanks. :D

I started my 240 gallon glasscages tank in approx. 8/07
Here is one of the first pictures of after transfering most of the contents of a 180 over to the 240.

Here are a few new pictures.

mfinn,

What are you using for lighting?

I just got a 240 from GC's as well, only mine is 60x36x25. Mine is going to be mostly soft corals as well.

I have 3x250 watt 14k Hamilton, 2x160 watt VHO 50/50, and 2x160 watt actinic.
All the VHO's are left over from when I used all VHO lighting on the tank.
The combination of all the different vho and mh gives a nice color, IMO.

60x36x25 wow, that's going to be a landscaping dream.
