Software that tells camera settings from a photo

I read some where in this forum that mentioned about a software that looks at a photo and lists out what setting (ISO,lens, AF...) of the camera when the photo was being taken. Does anyone know what the name of the software?

Adobe Lightroom

Adobe Lightroom

Adobe Lightroom is a sweet, simple, and very easy to use program. It lists all the camera settings in a panel on the right and has a ton of easy to use filters and adjustments. Go to adobe.com and try the demo for 30 days and see how you like it.

If you're looking for something to find out what other's pictures settings were at you can google EXIF and download that.

There are all sorts of EXIF readers....gimp can do it, but i even have a plugin in firefox to read EXIF data also

I'd just use a Firefox extension for it. It's free and easy. Plus it allows you to view the settings of photos found online without you having to save the image to your machine and open it in a program that lists the EXIF data. Unless the photo had the EXIF data stripped from it (I don't understand why people do that intentionally).

Could be a company policy or to try & cover photo manipulation tracks.

Actually, that was the default behavior of Photoshop's "Save for web" until CS4.

EXIF has nothing to do with whether a photo was "manipulated" or not.

Really? I used CS4 and just do save for web and my photos still dont show any EXIF data.

I must have switched something at one point.

There's a drop-down box in the Save for Web dialog that lets you choose what information gets retained. For years you didn't have any choice in the matter.
