sohal?

I really want a Achilles tang, but I do not want to spend 150 bucks on a fish, bought one for 90 got ick real bad and never recovered. Looking at a sohal.

Tank info 8 foot 300, 2 yellow tang, 1 scopas, 1 12 inch Naso beverious.
How will the sohal fit into the mix? Anyone got one that's good? I don't think my unicorn will put up with much BS.

The sohal will probably be very aggressive too. That is one of the most aggressive out of all the tangs

Well, I had to remove a Sohal from a 350 gallon tank because it was killing fish. Unfortunately, they become progressively more aggressive. I don't know what sized tank to even recommend for them but I have an acquaintance that has one in a 1000 gallon tank and it looks large for that tank.

I have an 8' tank, and my hepatus makes it look small. I wouldn't add a Sohal to my tank.

sohal's grow fast if you ask me mine went from 3" to 9" in about 2 years and it would eat any coral except blue/purple shrooms polyps were his favorite. defiantly a cool fish but they grow to almost 2' and are mean

I've had my Sohal for 2+ years now in my 240. I will not add another tang while he's in this tank, but may consider something from the Naso genus when I upgrade....I.E, I would not trust him with Zebrasoma or certainly not with Acanthurus genus.

I will say mine at 8 inches now is a lot more mellow than he was when I got him at 3.5 inches when he was a bit psycho. Everybody in the tank gives him space, other than the equally large Male Crosshatch, and everything is copacetic.
