Solana tank owner thread.

I'm also thinking about getting a vortech for my Solana. What size model is good, 10,20, 40? Thanks in advance.

Bruce all you need in the solana is the 10. As for ato an 2 part I had a resevoir made to fit below my solana an also made a center support leg out of a 2x4 an painted it black just for piece of mind. It holds 5.25 gallons of top off. I also dose 2 part along with Magnesium, resevoir holds enough of the 3 to go the year!

Reefkeeperelite

Reefkeeperelite

Well here are some photos the reefkeeperelite an its componets mounted to some acrylic brackets that I had made to house under my solana. Will be able to see computer just to left of the Profilux Doser. Modules will be to far leftside of cabinet to where the clutter will be gone. Will take time mounting today an start programming tomorrow.

Just in case you wanted another opinion, yes the mp10 will do wonders. The 20 and 40 are too bulky for a small tank imo.

Damn you have a real nice setup under your tank. I might look into doing something like that!

I use a rubbermaid 10g container placed next to the stand for my ato. I didn't want any extra weight in the stand and wanted to keep the storage space for my supplements and extra filter media.

Thank you! I've been working at it. Once my reefkeeper is in place I will have all the techno gadgets in place. I'm still waiting on the Tunze module from Digital Aquatics.

Looking good. Lot going on but a well thought out and clean setup.

Hey Michael! Yes, alot was going on but now done. Now its time to grow out the tank. I'm only waiting on my Tunze module for the reefkeeper, along with Salinity prohbe. May have a few questions for you regarding how you setup the standby option on your reefkeeper? But thanks and yes I had put a lot of thought in tank setup.

I have three of my standby's setup. I have delays setup as: Vortech 0 minutes, Main pump 10 minutes and Sump pump 11 minutes.

Standby 1: 5 Minutes - This is for normal feeding - Vortech, main and sump pumps off.
Standby 2: 15 Minutes - This is for broadcast feeding of Reef Chili and such - Main and sump pumps off.
Standby 3: 30 Minutes - All off for water changes and maint.

I am experimenting with having the heater off for all as it seems to get out of whack in standby since it is in chamber one and the sensor is in chamber three,

I moved my iTemp sensor into the display area - just kind of hidden in the left back corner.
Had it in chamber 1 close to the heater and felt like the readings were a little out of whack.

just got my 24" tek from a local reefer and I can't hang it on my electrial conduit!!!

Its creating a moment about them and twists them in!! Any way i can fix this? I already put double tie downs on the back, although they are only spaced 1" on each pole

:( had the opportunity to set up the sapphire skimmer today. Plugged it in, and nothing. It appears MIA Kyle forgot to put the impeller in the pump before he shipped it.
