Tank sounds nice... I am thinking about a Solana full of Palys and Zoas only. Build the rock into something like a ziggurat formation and put frags all over it and let them grow in over time. I like the idea of doing the floor with GSP.

Felix, yeah, PFO is just a brand of lights. They make a rectangular pendant with reflector which does not direct light as effieciently as teh Solana for this tank size.

Tank is about 5.5 months old now.

One of my star polyps are on top. They are starting to take off and will be placed on the bottom of the tank with the other mound that took which is not visible in the picture. I have a bare bottom tank and would like them to spread to give a "grass-like" effect.

more than one would actually be better.

I would like to convert the center section of my solana to a "refugium". I have narrowed the light choices down to two possibilities any pro-cons about my selections?

on a side note does anyone have a coupon code for marine depot or premium aquatics? I have been debating a reefkeeper controller and a little discount would help the sting a bit.

on another side note get a tunze 9002 and steveT's collection cup. I never knew how loud the stock skimmer was until I made the upgrade. I promised pictures earlier and plan on providing after the next upgrade (ATO; center fuge).

Lowredranger, I've been considering the CPR HOB Aquafuge, doesn't the return spit out on top of the skimmer? Mind posting a picture of how yours is set up?

I know i need to quite being lazy and download my new pics. At the moment the return for the fuge dumps right next to the skimmer but not on top of it. I posted some pics a couple pages back with the return and skimmer.

Very nice aquascape i think i built mine too high now there is no room for a lot of growth out of a couple of my sps pieces.

Here is the pic of the fuge return. And a couple updated pics of the tank. A new frogspawn with pink/ green tips and a bright/dark green torch will be here tomorrow. Can anyone spot the Neon Goby lol he has a lot of personality.

I left the middle top open for some sps there are only a couple pieces and the bright light does not play well with the camera so it is hard to see their color.
