yeah i hear ya about online vendors... i have been burned in the past and refuse to order online again for livestock.... but if you look hard enough you can find some cherry pieces in florida... i have seen some pieces from people down there and they are AWESOME!!:D

We've got one store that just recently open and they seem to have some very good piece's , price ...ehh you know how that goes. Just wish they had friendlier hours for those who work. They close at 6pm on week days and are closed on Sundays.

Well i have found it does cause some micro bubbles but i have done other things so i am not sure that it is the cause of all problems. I like the flow i also have 2 K1's and 1 K2 on a controller. I managed to get a CPR medium HOB fuge on and it draws the water from the third compartment and puts it back in in the first compartment next to the skimmer. I think this is also causing the water to run through the rear sections faster. I have a pura filtration pad and live rock pieces in the middle section. I am still fine tuning the stock skimmer. I also have added a Tunze top off with the kalk reactor.

Sounds like a nice set-up.

I get some micro-bubbles from the stock pump. I have rubble in the middle section, I'm using Poly Filter in the overflow, and have an AquaC Remora skimmer with a media bag on it to quiet the waterfall. I'd like to add flow without adding another Korallia, so I may try the Rio 2500.

Thanks for the info

I have a Solana after downgrading from a 215. The micro bubble issue is the only I don't like about this tank. The return is so high up under the recommended water line that with even the slightest evaporation, you get microbubbles because of the connections. When I get the ATO on-line (waiting for replacement piece), I will probably make the water level a little higher.

Otherwise, much happier with the Solana than my larger tank!!

just a quick thought i dont know if anyone has done this but im about to order a solana and i was thinking about drilling the acrylic false wall for a closed loop pumping the water through the wall and routing it back through other holes in the false wall near the top and bottom corners i could even keep the pump out of the water to avoid excess heat
