so a few months ago i upgraded from the Biocube to a 65 RR and now i have to downgrade, so i bought a solana and have some TEK T5 lights on the way for it wooooo hooo cant wait.

I would say it's fairly standard. I have a sunpod and a solana but not together at this time. The sunpod is on a different tank. Yea, I get salt spray on it and have to clean the lens filter with vinegar at least once a week. Also, it's using the built in leg supports and with the cords attached I don't like trying to lift it off the tank to get inside. The sunpod has mounting holes for a suspension kit but I don't know how that might be any easier than the way I do it now.

That center chamber looks really skinny.
It sucks that they damaged 2. I don't think they are packaged properly for shipping --not enough protection.

Well... hummm.... sounds like a time to make some hard decisions... I feel some fragging comin' on.
zigzag - several reasons we are downsizing. Electric bill cost (over 300 month), don't have time w/ 2 little one to care for the large tank (Anytime I need to move something, scrap glass or clean pumps I have to get my husband to help remove the canapy because I can't reach everything from the top), moving (don't want to move 120g when we move).
It was hard to part w/ some of my large fish but I found them homes in 300+ gallon tanks.
I'm sure we will be fragging alot of corals also to get everything to fit including the large efflo.

I think she meant her overall electric bill. I know mine will get close to that if i ever get this new tank up and running $80-100 more a month is electricity.
zigzag - We just drop the lights down from 1240w to 500w (haven't seen the electric bill yet), we are runing a velocity pump on the sump w/ a chiller that runs all the time (chiller is in the house so it heats up our home causing the AC to run more often), we have a mag9 running a protein skimmer, turbo twist pump, 2 seiko pumps, some other internal pump.
Yes I meant over all bill. I'm sure we where using close to $100 month in electric for the tank.
I will miss the big tank w/ large fish but will be happy to see a less expensive electric bill.

If you have a solana or have clearence issues I have a Tunze 9002 Skimmer without the magnet attached this was a special order took me like 2 months to get it from germany. Many solana owners hacksaw them off and break or risk breaking them but this one is clean with no damage at all. It was a 9002 without magnet attached but it was included in the box so if i wanted to glue it on later i could. I have the magnet and box the magnet is new and never been used. Skimmer is less than 5 months old works like new. PM ME if your interested. I take paypal. $150 shipped
