LiveSand SSB, Does DSB can help the war against the algae
The fishes are two clownfishes. CoralBeauty.and three Chromises. I don't have sump but i have liverock and Juwel's Filter inside the aquarium..
so Does someone have a solution to kill the algae
I have tried 7 time to scrub them and it didn't work, the algae came back.

Thanks,

with the filtration you have employed on this tank and with that high of a bio-load chances aren't very good for you to win this battle, your best bet it is to reduce the bio-load and then manually remove the GHA from the rock best you can out of the tank and rinse it well before replacing it in the tank, do this daily and you'll eventually get it under control. if you'll search for 'rock baking' you may want to give that a try as well.

try getting a phosphate filter, they sell a type that comes with a bag of reef safe medication for hair algae and cyano, it works pretty well.

make sure that rinse is not fresh water!!! I fought it off witrh turbo snails and making sure my ca and alk was right. how long are you running your lights daily and what type?

150W Metal Halide 14,000K
Nine houers a day.

I would cut it back to 6hrs a day for about a month. that help out alot. also are you using ro/di water for water changes and top off? if you can get a cool aid pitcher that you can hang on one side of you rtank and spend about 20 min a day pinching off the algae and removing it! this is what I did and it went away after about three weeks!

mmmmm thank you I will try this and what hours do you think would be the best I mean from witch hour to witch hour?

I would agree with Dragon slayer, I live on the west coast near a large river were our water is taken from, it is very high in everything bad for an aquarium, and until I started using ro/di water I had many many algea break outs, also I had a prizm skimmer and they are not good at skimming, you may want to loo in to replacing it with something that works better like an asm or even those bak pak skimmers, also I would set up a cheap sump. lots of people are getting rid of small tanks 20-30g at garage sale and the like, and you can get an over flow for $40 from marine depot, the extra volume and space would allow you to add some Lr and have more a margin for error. As for the Ro/Di unit I got mine off ebay for $80 and I use it for drinking water as well, good luck wee all seem to start out in the same place in this hobby.

OK thank you all I will try thinking about buying RO system.
and I bought Seachem's Phospahte Remover I hope it will tork

if you have a local fish store thewy may sell the ro water for pretty cheap i pay 40 cents a gallon and do a 5g water change weekly so I spend 5 bucks a week on water for top off and changes. this should deff cure your tank!! in the meen time I would still decrease the photo period and run the phosphate remover.

make sure you test the LFS water also. a local one in my area had high ammonia readings. i bought my own ro/di after that
