i threw the chrysurus angel in the sump. wish i had made the sump with more room to throw fish in. its a 75g divided into three, sock filter/skimmer/return pump. the changing emp juvie chases the chrysurus around a lot.

How are your fish with the glass bottom? I know my fish in QT get really freaked out with the clean glass bottom...

yeah joseph, its a true personifer. got it from DD about 3 months ago. it a wide 180g, 30" front to back.

i havent noticed any abnormal behavior towards the bottom glass. maybe its b/c they've gotten use to the barebottom after the QT period.

i really like the barebottom. i get zero food/waste build up on the bottom glass. very easy for the fish to pick ALL the pellets off the bottom glass too.

i'm looking at probably 84x33x28 in the future(max size that can fit thru my hallway and bedroom door). if i'm willing to break this tank down, then i can do it a 96x36x30.

Looks nice and clean, almost sterile.

The only weird thing is that your water looks cloudy. Is this tank like really newly set up? You have a remote sand bed somewhere getting stirred up? Otherwise, it looks like a bacteria buildup to me.

Anyway, it doesnt look bad, I'm just wondering why the water is slightly cloudy looking. At least it isnt yellow cloudy ;) It looks like a "clean" cloudy, but if it was me I'd want to get rid of that.

If it's just sediment or real fine sand blowing around, I'd run a 100 micron filter sock or smaller if you dont mind cleaning it, and get that taken care of. You'll love your fish that much more when you cant even see the water.

you got a good eye.

the filter sock chamber had a bunch of sand/debris at the bottom and i had replaced out the sock filter right before the vid. i had then let the overflow drain blow clean that chamber and it then returned all that water with the dirt and debris back into the tank causing the cloudy water.

its a 200micron filter. i probably should change it out more frequently. tank has been up since april 2011'.

I probably only notice because I dealt with that a couple times in the past with my tank. When I did hypo, my water took on that exact look, but mine was all bacterial.

Great video! Love the Personifer!

How are the 2 Scribbles doing together? Any aggression between them?

Man you are living on the edge though, I gotta say. The Chysurus will most likely never be able to go back in and your Passer is getting his butt kicked. I hope it just doesn't continue down the line with the weakest link getting beat up. Blueface didn't want to show himself either.

Great tank, congrats.
thanks..

The 2 scribbles gets along fine. The larger is about 4.5", and smaller-3.5".

At the moment, no aggression issues with any of the fish. The emp chases the chrysurus a lot, but with it being in the sump, its a relatively peaceful tank. for now at least.

another vid i took today.

They look awesome. How big is the passer?

thanks.

maybe a hair over 3.5". but i had a video where i put up a measuring tape and its showing close to 4". thats about the easiest way to get a decent measurement of all the fish. much better than eye balling.

i've had the passer since july 2011'. from NYA, about a little over 2". it'll out eat all the other fish, devouring 3mm NLS pellets.

nice vid. Who's thrashing on the Passer Angel? I've never seen a Passer so thrashed! usually they're the tough aggressive ones.

not really sure what you guys are seeing. nothing really bothers the passer. an occasional tail nipping by some of the angels. outside the issues with the emp and the chrysurus, no aggression issues to note.

It's fins are all tattered. It is definitely being picked on by someone. The pic shows it's beat up fins well, but the video didn't show any aggression however.

I know what you mean about the Passer's eating. I used to have one and man that thing could eat.

maybe he is getting nipped on when i'm not around, i dont know. he is displaying some HLLE in the face and at the top of his eye, so i thought maybe his fins issues is related to that. i've just started soaking the 3mm NLS pellets in Vita-chem and trying to feed that 3x/day along with PE mysis, flakes, ON form 2 pellets. Got some Selcon, but i want to try out the Vita-chem for a few weeks first.
