Well, until I decide what to do with my tank, I have to keep this one going. My corals are very very slowly declining. It's almost negligable except for the fact they are dieing...
My bubble died over a 3 month period, with a 1 month recovery then sudden death..
My frog spawn I've had since the beginning as a nano frag. It's grow 1 possibly 2 new heads. The original head is turning grey and starting to die or so it looks. The other head still looks o.k. but somewhat declined from it's usual self.
Acans are growing like weeds. The 5 new bubble corals on the dead bubble are growing like weeds almost. Zenia have declined significantly since I've started dosing Calcium (My tank was almost covered in xenia, now they're almost gone!!). Ca tests out at 360 - 380 at the highest point. my nano duncan has grown 4 new heads in less than 2 to 3 months.
Alk stays consistant at 3.0 - 3.5 meq/l. I haven't checked nitrates for a while. There were a ton of flat worms on the glass, but they disappeared, there's some on the glass, but, about 80% less than there was when the light was off for 2 days in a row.
Could the flat worms be killing my frogspawn or bubble, just moving from coral to coral?? I only have 2 fish in the tank and both are completely reef safe.. A somewhat territorial betta, and a lawnmower blenny that likes to pick up asterinas and move them around.
btw, my tank is covered in hundreds of asterinas. When I upgrade, I'm considering a harlequin shrimp if my betta would leave it alone.
I need to check salinity, last I checked it was right at 1.026 with refrac. with a leak, I need to see if it's slowly creaping down.
