We went to Carlos and Charlies for dinner tonight on Lake Travis and thought I would share a few pics I took with the new camera.

Meet Lake Travis

Capo's retirement spot from across the lake. It is above the third houseboat from the left. A couple of miles away.

Beautiful day but the rivers are rising from the rain and past snow. If you're not near the rivers it's real nice.

And Texas has some beautiful lakes doesn't it? Same with Oklahoma. You never really think about lakes and those states.

I am biased because I grew up on Lake Travis...but it is a gem of a lake. I was surprised there weren't more boats out last night, usually there are a lot of sailboats out.

Yes Rena, new camera, just a point and shoot but arguably one of the best point and shoot's made to date. It is a Fiji S6000 and at only 6.3 megapixels it takes shots better then most 10 megapixels on the market today. It has a manual zoom, no button zooming and enough manual features to make an old shutterbug happy. I did my research on this one and it seems so far to be a good buy.
