Some lag when using the PC Software?

Hello,
I recently purchased P3 eX, connected it via usb and now using the pc software. The thing is that when I click on a section (e.g. sensors) and then click on another section I get 2-3 sec lag until it opens it. After that I get no lag but if I do it for the first time in the current profilux program session I get the delay before opening. So I was wondering if that is normal and if others are experiencing the same thing.
Also I've noticed that the temp probe connection doesn't fit completely tight and if you by mistake move its cable a bit harder it loses the connection for a second and then it takes 3-4 secs until it shows again the right temperature. It doesn't completely loses the temperature but just change the numbers for a short period of time. So ya I am just concerned if thats normal because the controller is brand new, purchased it as megapack.

Mine does exactly the same thing. I guess I just got "used to it" and never mentioned it. I've seriously thought about trying to secure my temp probe using a rubberband or something wrapped around the whole unit.

So I guess that might be a normal "flaw". How about the lag in the pc program, do you get that as well?

Yes I do. Actually I don't "think" I got that until the last update or so. Unfortunately this happens as a product/program grows more stuff is happening and sometimes this is the end result. I'll post something about this over in the Support forum and see if anyone has resolved it and see just how widespread (or not) this problem is.

Mind if I quote your post from here?

No I don't mind.
I'm curious though if we are the only ones getting this lag or it is common thing, because I do not see anyone else posting in this thread.

What version of the PLC are you running and what version is your FirmWare?

Also are what OS are you running on your computer?

probibly not posting because the "lag", is no big deal :strange:

noone says it is a big deal, The whole post was to check if it is a "normal" thing that all / many people are experiencing.

Here is the reply from someone at GHL

this is normal

when opening a page the first time all settings have to be loaded for this page

in regards to temp-sensor: the plug doesn`t become loose without a reason

I noticed this on my P3ex, too. I was able to fix mine so that it was tighter in the slot. It has to do with the alignment of the physical port with the hole on the back of the controller, it's a millimeter or two out of alignment. Look closely as you insert the temp probe and you'll notice that something is preventing it from going in all the way. Man, this sounds really dirty, sorry. :uhoh3: It's the panel on the case of the controller itself. Just wiggle the male plug into the female port, or try going in at an angle as you push it in.
