Some new fish...

I hope they don't infect a 600g reef with ich :eek2: . That would be a nightmare.

But the iphone picture is hilarious! And he's so darn pretty.

Could you try netting out some white goop next time you see it and take a picture with your good camera? It might show something.

He already has ich in his tank, the fish just live with it. Besides, the convicts have been in copper for a week, all the ich should be dropped off by now as it only hosts on the fish for like 3-5 days, and the copper should keep any new ich from getting attached to them.

I could try catching a poo string but my brother borrowed my camera again, that's why I had to take the iPhone picture. With the current in the tank it only floats around for a little then it's down in the rocks, it would be a pain to net.

I've got Prazipro coming in like 3-4 more days and I got the big bottle so I can treat my tank twice more if needed before I turn the skimmer on.

As soon as I get my camera back I want to get a picture of the convicts in the reef, it's a nice sight.

That has to be one of the funniest pics I've ever seen. To bad you didn't have your real camera. That would make an awesome avatar. Maybe you could crop it & post a new thread entitled " Do you think my Emperor needs a larger tank?"

Hah, good idea. The tang police might not care but the angel police would have me hung up by the scruff of my neck.

Heh that is a funny picture.I wonder how long he was stuck in there.Such a beautiful fish makes me wanna start a fowlr tank in the future-Kieth

I'm pretty sure he was stuck in there for a couple hours. The little piece of coral/live rock that looks like it is in there with him is actually behind it. I rubber banded nori to it, so someone pulled it out (or the emperor thrashed it out) and all the nori was gone, I mean picked totally clean, even between the layers of rubber band, so someone picked at it for a long time.

The tank is doing good with the convicts gone. Everything seems just a little more peaceful. I see absolutely no ich on anyone now except the emperor. I cant exactly see ich on him, but he has a white splotch still up near his gills which makes me think he probably has an ich bump there.

Just doing an update, I got my camera back from my brother finally... I'm about to tell him to quit borrowing it for weeks at a time.

Any white spots you see on the fish are in the water, it isnt ich on the fish ;)

Everyone is doing good, I havent seen any ich spots for a week now. I just got my prazipro in tonight, so I'm going to do a big water change because I havent for almost 2 weeks, then I'm going to dose with prazi and keep treating with copper for another extra week, since the fish are doing so good with the copper now I think I'll extend it long enough to really make sure I kill off all the ich.

My blue face is finally starting to not be so camera shy.

My poor lonely convict, he's doing well by himself though.

My emp, you can see the HLLE but the good news is it isnt getting any worse with this copper treatment, in fact, I'm pretty sure it's still receding.

The majestic is doing good, it still hides about half the day though.

I love my queen :) Such a pretty angel, I wish there were more angels with the long streamers.

The flames are still doing good, only the one death so far out of the 5. They are handling the copper like champs.

The dussu is still a pig and still growing fast.

dussu041.jpg

He always wants food.

And he attacks when he sees it.

A good group shot... I need to take another one the first time I feed for the day when they are going crazy, this shot was after 3-4 drops of pellets into the tank and they had calmed down.

And then just because I can... my aberrant dussu tang ;)

dussu040.jpg

Wouldn't that be sweet! That is the stuff I see at night man....really I told about my dream of the flame red queen trigger with bule lines on it....so awesome. Anyways, back to the real world, glad to hear all is taking the med well, and hopefully they take the prazi good too. Great pics, the emp looks fine in my opinion, it will heal up over time.

Yeah, I dont have dreams about these kind of fish, but maybe someday :)

The last time I prazipro'd is when ich showed up, but the ich has to be dead now so I think it will be OK.

Here is one more I was working on ;) I'm basically trying to learn Photoshop and the easiest way for me to do it is work on a subject I like, which happens to be my fish.

Thanks ;) Yeah, I wish that was a real fish I had, although I'd be tempted to sell it for $20K to someone in the Japanese market.

Hey Recty what are the dimensions of your Tank? There I a guy out here
Selling a 200g tank & stand for real cheap. Sorry to get off subject
In this thread. I love your fish tho. Can't wait to finish setting my tank up

I've got the standard Aqueon 210g, 6' x 2' x 29".

It's a pretty good tank, although I wish I had been able to find a 240g and gotten an 8' long tank.

All Glass used to make 240g tanks, glass, that are 8 feet long but they dont anymore.

I'm not really up to date on custom tank manufacturers, I've never been involved in getting one.

So I did a water change today, first time in 2 weeks, I did about 50g which is about a 25% water change, then I readded the correct amount of copper and I added prazipro. So I'll keep dosing copper and keep the prazi in the tank for another 5-7 days, then I'll probably start removing it.

For some reason my water got really cloudy. I added in some more of the Seachem pH buffer which I've never had problems with before and my water got cloudy fast. I'm assuming it will go away soon, I hope so anyway, it looks slightly milky right now.

Thanks. It's a Canon 50D and for the most part it's has attached either a 24-70 F/2.8 or a 100mm F/2.8 macro, which is most of the pictures you see where the fish doesnt even begin to fit into the entire frame.

I actually just sold my 24-70 this weekend on eBay and I'm looking at getting a "prime" 50mm lens which has an f stop of 1.4, so I should be able to get maybe not BETTER pictures but brighter with less noise in them. It will be interesting to experiment with.

Well I got my Sigma f/1.4 which lets me do a higher shutter speed, basically it means I dont have to use a flash to get a nice crisp shot.

This is just a couple sample shots of the emperor while I'm testing out the lens. His HLLE looks like it is coming back a little bit on his forehead instead of receeding, but I'm going to start pulling the copper and prazipro from the water tomorrow so I'm sure he will appreciate that. I've had them in copper for 20 days tomorrow and Prazi for 5 and they were prazi'd right before this copper treatment started, so I think they should be about parasite free. I certainly havent seen any ich for a while now, probably 2 weeks.

I like this one as well, the dussu is starting to look more mature, he is developing yellow fringing around his pectoral fins instead of just a solid blue. His tail is also starting to slowly develop some small streamers.

dussu044.jpg

He's growing fast but I think it's because he is always waiting to eat.

dussu045.jpg

And then my queen, I still think is probably my favorite angel.
