I really want to try a flame harem in my 210, but I feel the tank is too aggressive for them. Would love a shoal of convicts in a large reef tank. Sometimes wish I didn't go so aggressive.
Yeah, I actually am glad I backed out of the aggressive tank. Not that the large angels and tangs cant be aggressive, but it's a different kind of aggression. With triggers I'd be afraid of putting in small fish because the triggers can view those as food, whereas I know my large angels arent going to eat little fish.

I do think a shoal of convicts is a neat effect and it would be great in a large reef. Whenever I finally upgrade, I hope these guys are still around to transfer over, maybe I'll add in 4 or 5 more small ones when I do it too :)

You're in the zone man.....hold on to it!
It's kind of nice, everything is going smoothly :) Hopefully it stays that way.

Two clown tangs, eh? That might be risking it ;) They arent known to group up much in the wild are they?

Yeah, I'm still kind of regretting not going with my original plan. A bunch of small, tiny fish, if it wasn't for my eel. I had those 3 small angels, with plans to get bluethroat triggers, aussie tusk, some heniochus etc. I'd love to see a big tank filled with a bunch of juvi angels, interesting to watch them grow up. I am still waiting on putting up pics of my new fish, I'm definitely going to have to pull my sohal in time out, hope it works. Would hate to get rid of such a gorgeous fish.

Well, if its any consolation, I've had a bunch of small fish and it's neat, but there is just something about big fish swimming around that draws people in and you can watch them for hours.

I think you'll be the most happy having a nice mix, some big fish and some small fish. If you cant do small fish because of your eel, I think you'll still be happy just having bigger fish :)

I agree... I really wanted to take one this weekend but my lovely wife left the old point and shoot camera I take videos with about 120 miles away where she went to a horse reining clinic, so I wont get my camera back until this coming weekend...

I want to take a video so in case this all goes horribly wrong, I'll still have a good video to watch of the good times ;)

Do the convicts actually swim around with each other?

I'm going to treat with Prazipro at sometime in the future, I'm not really sure when but probably within the next couple weeks.

At this point, not a single fish shows even a small dot of ich on a fin or an eye or the body, I mean I've spent a LOT of time checking them out and they all look clean... so I'll probably not treat until I see the need.

I'm mainly worried about my 6 dwarfs, I just hear they have a hard time with copper and even though I'm using cupramine which is supposedly better than other forms, I still would rather not risk it at this point.

This guy is quickly becoming one of my favorite fish :)

Even though he is being blocked by a convict tang, I still like the picture :)

I know lemonpeels dont have real good survival rates, but I'm really hoping this guy hangs in there. He munches on pellets and the rocks and nori, so I think I've got a decent chance.

I'm mainly worried about my 6 dwarfs,
I had some problems with small angels with a full dose of copper, but if you go to minimum dosing requirement they will take it .
Parazy is ok, but the fish are clean no need to stress any one now with copper ;)
I hope you are done adding fish so the parasite scare should be over for you.
The last fish "a powder brown tang " I add in my tank i was sweating it out for two months i have some very old fish in the tank i don't need to brake the 17 years old reef tank down so i can catch all the fish in there for quarantine and treatment that will be a disaster.
But now i don't need to check the fish every day with a magnifying glass for parasites.
It is crazy most of the time the smaller tanks give me the most problems with ext parasites.
I only had a PBT die on me from ick all this years no other fish in the reef ever had any parasites knock on wood
What time is in Alaska now?

Right now it is 9:06PM.

Yeah, I don't plan on adding any more fish at this point.
Very good you have some very nice fish in the tank now enjoy .
You are four hours back is 1:09AM here in NJ , not to bad .

I really like the tang hes on my list of tangs for the 180. Sorry to hear about the issues with the seller. I rarely purchase fish online I always like to see them in person.

Thanks, I like those tangs :)

Look at their eyes. It's kind of funny, the stripe almost never lines up. They never have their eye at the right angle that it lines up with the stripes on their face. If anything, it makes their eye stick out more than if it didnt have the stripe.
