Some new fish...

I'm glad to see your fish made it through the copper in good shape. I just noticed that mine have ich AGAIN :mad2: , and started the Cupramine immediately. I didn't add any new fish, though.

Yeah, I was happy to see they did much better this time. I'm still not sure when I'm going to start pulling the copper, I'd like to tomorrow night but I might be heading out of town again so if that's the case I'll start pulling it on Sunday. That will give them a full 21 days of cupramine treatment which is probably good enough. Even Seachem recommends no more than 3 weeks and most companies dont tell you to stop buying/using their products until it is necessary

BTW, how long did you treat with cupramine before? And I cant remember, did you treat your entire FOWLR or did you pull the fish out to quarantine?

I really love this new lens... I'm getting great pictures with it, it seems to be quite a bit sharper than my old lens.

Well, the TIF is 43MB and the RAW is a little over 20MB, so I'm just sending a jpg It's only 2MB at 4700x3200.

those are amazing pictures you can see the dusu skin texture!!1 and your glass is so clean to get these shots through them what cleaner are you using ?

I treated the DT for one week with Prazi then switched to Cupramine when I realized it was ich. The treatment lasted two weeks.

That new lens has great detail. The grain seems finer and the colors look richer.

I dont clean my glass much really, I didnt clean it before this photo taking session for sure. I cleaned it when I did a big water change before I started treating with copper 3 weeks ago, but that was the last time.

When I do clean, I use one of the magnetic cleaners that sits inside the tank and you just move the outside piece around to clean the inside.

I actually use that as a feeding clip twice daily for nori, otherwise I probably wouldnt have it in the tank.

I've done hypo once on this tank with these rocks and copper treatment twice, I think my algae problems are so minimal because of that, both types of treatment kill off algae. I'm currently doing a copper treatment so the algae is really held down to nothing at this point.

Two total weeks of cupramine?

I'm not really sure why, but the bottle of cupramine says to do it for 14 days, but I contacted Seachem and they told me they recommend 3 weeks for fish. I think they do the 2 weeks as an average for the common hobbyist who barely knows what he is doing, but if you're in control of things then it's probably a good idea to go ahead and do 3.

I'm trying it out for 3 weeks this time and it seems just fine for me, I've had no issues due to copper and best of all, my fish have been ich free for 2 whole weeks now.

As far as the lens goes, it is pretty amazing. It's a fixed focal length, 50mm, it's called a prime lens and since there are no moving parts it can take really clear pictures.

I did what the instructions said, and honestly, I would have lost fish if it went on for another week. I'll do three weeks this time. Obviously, the ich survived after two weeks. I caught it early, and I know what to do this time around.

Well the achilles is no longer even in the tank, he was way too aggressive and really beat on the majestic angel, so out he goes.

He was actually a very cheap fish too, I sold him for more than I bought him for

Cuprisorb starting tonight... just did a 25% water change and I'm kicking on the skimmer in a couple minutes.

I dont really have a good spot in my sump for filter type media to go in, I'm not really sure how I'm going to do it. I think I might just zip tie real loosely the cuprisorb around the return pump filter and hopefully enough water passes through it.
