some new lighting

yep, someone posted a link to it not to long ago lol but it looks awesome! thats some really sweet tech.!

EDIT: maybe it was on another site/forum...:O)

Did you get it? That controller can get super expensive with all the options, but you only need the $500 version to run a tank like in the video. And the special L-stick and a dimming module for the T-5's. Only problem is if you are running halides, they need to cool down before they can light again (storms have to be programmed for a long time at once, and not a bunch of times throughout the day).

i got the controller package (I have to wait for the L-stick and the fan maybe add the t5s later)

here is what I got
1-the Profilux Plus II Main unit computer controller
1-6 sockets power bar
1-4 sockets power bar
1-Temperature probe
1-PH probe
1-conductivity probe
1-redox probe
2-tunze cable to control the Tunze pump if needed (wont use)
1-float switch

some other stuff also

Chad can you point me in the direct of where you got it... i searched and couldnt find anyone stateside selling them... no saltyshoe_nano someone did post it here the other day thats when i started to look for it ...

I haven't attempted to shop these for price yet, but I know cherrycorals has been selling them for a while now.

so logik your saying for the whole programable light effects with the storm and everything i would need the one thats like 499.99... i guess the dimmable ballast and the l stick as well (sorry chad didnt mean to hijack)

Yeah, from what cherrycorals and skyhigh say, the 499 starter pack will do it. The L-stick you need is the flash stick, It does everything that all the other sticks do (sunrise, sunset, moonlight, lightening), all in one stick. Thats why it cost more than the other sticks. They also say that they will soon be selling fittings for building your own lighting modules. And yes, you would need your T-5 ballast to be dimmable to get the clouds.

talk to Todd at cherrycorals

i bought mine from someone getting out of the hobby -- but still new

When you get it set up on your tank I'd love to see the pics or a small bit of video. It looks very realistic I think as far as the simulating different lighting effects, i.e. clouds passing by....
