Looking insane as usual Tom, I have to get some time to stop by the next time I am out that way. Been following your thread, are you doing the vodka/vinegar combo And GFO and biopellets in addition?

Thanks, I'll put up some more pictures of the high end sps display ,leather tank and the frag tanks when I get a chance. Just give me pm if you are in the area. I'm usually home.

I run a little gfo, gac also. As for organic carbon, it's just vodka and vinegar , no pellets, sugar etc. Been dosing the vodka and vinegar for 3.5 years.

I must say, I love your tank, you are an inspiration to all, and what you do for those kids is great. Keep up the good work! And I look forward to your next update!!!

They are encrusting montipora . One is a bright kelly green and the other a poker star. Both died off about 5 yeras ago to a nudibranch infestation but they came back on the rock and grew up the glass and plastic in the back. Tank is stuffed so they had no where else to go.

Hi your tank looks amazing you do a great job !!!! I have been following you thread great stuff most of it over my head still learning, I am sure your tanks look better in real life hope to meet you one of these days

Bought two from Saltwater Paradise 6 or 7 years ago , I have several large colonies now. They have a nice green edge; not evident in my photography.

what size aquarium is this?

The sps tank is a 120g. The lps tank is a 90g.

It's a Seriatopora caladium( aka ORA bird of paradise). Gets pinkish in high light. The coral immediately below it is a lavender acro. Fourth picture down is a bit clearer.

is mama mean?

The tomato clown is very mean and sneaky to me but relatively peaceful with tankmates.. Whenever I go in that tank ,my hand pays a price. I have bloody toothmarks in between my thumb and index finger now.
I beat her with a toothbrush which backs her off for a little while when I have to work in that area. She hates any new corals place nearby and knocks over even large ones, unless I anchor them very securely. I've thought about getting rid of her several times She was a tiny cute cycling fish,so I've had her and the male for about 8 years and grown fond of them. They breed regularly

Thanks, I'm in West Seneca; right next door. If you want to stop by sometime just send a pm and we'll set it up.

Been there since it was the size of a half dollar about 7.5 years. Beginner's impulse as a gift from my son. The back of the stack is open and there are several large swimways back to front ; more room than it appears in the pictures. Won't move the hippo as it's doing very well but I'd recommend a six foot tank for them, generally. It will hurt open brain corals,Trachyphylia in particular, though. So I have to either do without them in that tank or place them carefully out of the way.
