Not exactly endemic, but only found in that general part of the world:...and your right Id love to add a Mauritius blue spot, Macrophargynodon cyanoguttatus, one question though, are they endemic to Mauritius?
I've only seen one enter the trade in the states, via PIA.FishBase said:Distribution
Western Indian Ocean: northern Natal in South Africa, Mauritius and Réunion; might also occur in Madagascar and Rodriguez
Gorgeous collection; I was unsure if it was a pair of Hoodeds or Nahackys until you clarified.(I have the hardest time telling those females apart)

On a related note, rumor has it there's another Mauritius endemic Cirrhilabrus which may soon be available... But now I've said too much![]()
I think you have the wrong guy, I have never mentioned my substrate any where on this site, and I did mention once about the male on another thread. Not my thread by the way. And my substrate is fine for the wrasses, after all I do have 7 wrasses in my tank, most for well over 2 years. A four inch very fine sand bed seems to be working for me.These the same from your last thread? That substrate was not suitable if it is.

Yes depending on the species

Ahh, mea culpa. Great fish those femis. I just ordered another female. whoops....
How many do you have now? Im undecided between these and the mauratius flasher I saw on DD. At the same time im thinking I should just hold off as im doing an addition to the house and going with at least a 250 in it, where all these fish will eventually end up.Ahh, mea culpa.
