Thank you both. Nate I’m sure you know already that is one of the fist corals I got from you. It is a slow grower but has had very nice color from day one. The cap is from Jerry and started out as a 1 X 1 piece and is now 4 X 3. These shots were taken under my new MH XM 10K's with no actinic lighting. I was using T-5’s prior to the MH’s. I’ve had these lights up for two days and already I have polyp extension on a coral that has not had any extending for months. Keeping my fingers crossed this is my key to good polyp extension and better color in my tank. Been redirecting flow for months and using carbon and phosban for a month prior to see if any of these were my problem. Nothing changed. Now maybe I hit it with lighting. Maybe a FTS later

I hope you like the color of the XM's. I run the same bulb with no actinics and I bounce back and forth as far as if I like the white look or do I want the blue look. They will get slightly bluer as they age. You shouldnt make a decision to add actinics right off the bat. Let them burn in for a week and see If you like the color it is.

I have a couple VHO's I could throw in my hood and every time I think Id like my tank a little bluer I think about putting them in. I still havent tho. Ive tryed 6.5k 10k 14k and 20k's and I alway run back to my xm10ks
