Nice pixs! Nice coral selection. Can you post more about your setup as it isn't included in you profile? I have a 29 reef also. I like you canopy. Where did you get it?
I wish you had larger images. I had used another site (there are SO many) to host the images and then linked using the phrase. They allow bigger pixs that way.
Please keep us updated. I'd like to see the development. I was tempted to include a link to a recent RC post about the progression of my 29 but I didn't want to hijack your thread. Keep up the good work. :)

very nice, I can see them all now....one thing I would recomend is more flow at the surface. It looks like you have some film and little/no surface movment. A powerhead directed in a more upward fashion should do it ;-)

Very nice. The bigger pixs really help you to see somethings. The Hammer growth is sick! I like that a lot. Have you had good luck with your Flower Pot? I have always liked them but heard they are difficult to maintain. What is on top of the LR in the center? Are those mushrooms?
Have you thought about using a refugium at all? I have just set one up out of a 10 gal tank and it was very easy. Cost me less than $40 not including overflow box. It gives me a little more water to work with.
How much did the canopy cost to make?
Last thing and this is as much of a question as a comment. I notice your powerhead and return are "blowing" into each other. Would it be better to create a circular current in the tank as opposed to having currents that are opposing each other?

the flower pot isnt that hard to keep. i dont target feed it like they say you should. on top of the center live rock is a fox coral. i have never thought of using a refugium, i dont think i need one. the conopy was about $40 to make and it was easy. as for the last question i dont know maybe someone else could answer that.

thanks

Looking good, Ryan! Some of those frags look familiar. :)

The ideal current would be like waves, changing direction so flow hits the corals from all sides and keeps detritus from collecting in corners, etc. Pointing the outputs at each other will at least get more turbulent flow going, which is a good thing compared to a circular current that goes the same direction all the time.

Not sure what's in there now (looks like a HOB skimmer and a powerhead) but you might want to think about adding another powerhead to get even more flow going on. Also agree with jent46bow about getting some flow pointed at the surface to get some agitation there.

Looks really good. The purple in the rock has really came out since December. Did you change lights or did it just continue to change? Have any of those clownfish produced any eggs? Have you had any success in that area in keeping the fry alive etc...

the purple just continued to change and no the clownfish have not produced any eggs yet. if they do i wouldnt know what to do with them so they wouldnt survive.

how is your goni doing? ours made it about 9 months before it suddenly shriveled up and died for no apparent reason. think it may have been the skimmer finally kicking in or something. they are such beautiful creatures, i wish ours had made it.

the conopy is home made. 4x100w vho (2 actinic 2 10000k), cpr bac pac skimmer, hob, aquaclear 20 power head.

4x100w VHO in a 29 gallon canopy, however do you fit them?
