We totally lucked out with the weather! It rained the second Saturday we were there, but there was a break in the weather long enough to run out to Hens and Chickens on the jet skis and get a dive in.
The turtle swam right in front of me and of course I had to follow her, unfortunately Walter and I got seperated because of me following the turtle, needless to say, he wasnt very happy with me....
I also have something for you guys =)

Oohh, I am so jealous! Troy went to an oxygen class tonight in Tampa, and last week did a refresher on CPR. I want to learn so bad...:sad1: Thanks for sharing all the great photos...looks like you had a blast. What key did you go to? What is hens & chickens?

Im not sure what the blue fish was, I think they were some sort of parrot fish maybe, there was a pair of them. We saw cow fish, several different kinds of wrasses, blue tangs that are yellow when they are juviniles, high hats, lawnmower blennies, sally ligh foots, we saw bristle worms the size of sharpie markers! and the list goes on. We did a night dive too, at Sombero reef, but every one was sleeping except these little things that looked like moths to a light except under water. We did see several lobsters, they are very friendly touching us with their antena (sp).
Hens and Chickens is a reef that is like only 2 mile off shore. We stayed in Marathon for a week than we satyed in Taviner for a night. If you want to learn, my cousin is a dive instructor and he is great with working around sceduals.........
How are things going with your blue and gold? My african grey is extremely mad at me for being gone so long, none of the others are acting this way, just him. I wonder how long he will stay mad?!?!

We should all plan a trip to the Keys, even if its just for a long weekend!

How exciting! All those different fish & inverts in their own environment..so cool.Troy told me about this huge puffer that was in a hole and would swim out to you if you came near. He has some cool pics, including a big yellow eel & lots of pink sponges. One sponge is so big you could swim down inside of it...it's shaped like a vase.I will ask him about your cousin, that would be awesome. What part of town is he in? I'm not even sure I could dive, but I would love to try.
Sheba is doing much better, I have been getting her out more and still dragging her stand back & forth from the office to the living room for now..LOL. Thanks for asking. Your grey is probably just scolding you, they are so smart. A little extra loving goes a long way...and a treat..:p Going to the keys sounds like a great idea...if I can just get these customers to pay us...

Hey guys here is a cool video I took while I was diving in the Keys. We were diving Christ of the Abyss and I found a turtle. We was just slowly swimming along so I flipped my camera to a movie setting and this is what I have to offer. Hope you all enjoy this turtle.

Too cool!! They seem to be much different under water, when we see them at the surface when we are on our jet skis they almost panic and dive down, but when I saw that one and from the video, they seem much more at ease when they are under water...........

That is very true. The main reason is when they are on land they are slower while you are fast, and in the water the tables are turned. I liked that little guy he was cool to follow.
