Some sort of mouth disease on my clownfish!

My tank has been running for about 3 months, and I've had a single clownfish in it for about 2 weeks (yellow stripe maroon clown).

About 2 days ago, I noticed a white patch under his mouth, as if he had rubbed it on a rock. It has since gotten worse, so that it looks like a white patch under his mouth, and his mouth is full of cotton.

So what is this, and how can I help him?

Sorry for the bad photos, he wasn't cooperating.

I just went to petsmart and got a 10 gallon tank, cheapo hang on filter, and two types of medicine - rid-ick and instant ocean lifegard

are either of those medications going to be worth using? I had thought it was a fungal infection.

Here are my plans:
setup sick tank using water from existing tank
dip fish in some RO water for about 5 minutes
put him in the sick tank
treat with chemicals

Actually true fungal infections are rare in salt water fish. Fungal infections are classified as Sapralegnia. I don't know what lifeguard is. These things might work I really don't know. Rid-ich is used to treat external parasitic infections. Give it a shot and see what happens.
