something eating

turfgrass

I have a pink finger leather and a green tree that is being attacked. I'm not sure if it is a fungus or most likely a parasite. It's many small black things that are eating tissue. Some are on the surface and others are in the tissue. The ones in the tissue looks like a splitter in ones finger. Any idea what this could be and how to stop it. I did sever the base once and it reappeared. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like some type of parasite, etc, but hard to tell for sure with out a pic.

A coral dip may be benificial, or possibly a short fresh water dip at the same temp and PH depending on the severity of the problem.

What are your water parameters like? Temp, PH, Alk, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, SG, water flow?
