My little fish :), so small it has to live in a critter box, otherwise I would not see it again.

Love it! I had one in a 120 for two years. It lived under the live rock and never came out! Good idea keeping it in a critter box. Beautiful fish.

Yeah, it would get lost in bigger tank, in this small box with one rock he is always out, not scared at all.

IMO this is the only way to keep one.

I had one in my 2 gallon pico. Never ever saw him. Only very very occasionally I'd see him for 1-3 seconds a week when I'd feed. Strictly grab food go back into hiding. Beautiful fish but challenging to keep and be able to observe.

How's this little guy doing? I want to get one but might have the same problem as my tank is big too.

The way around the "my tank is too big" problem (rare problem indeed!) seems to be just finding a nice-looking breeder box and keeping the goby in there. A high-quality acrylic one with a bit of sand and some rock rubble should work, and you can put a tiny snail or something in there to eat algae. Gobies aren't very active, so these little dudes don't need a huge amount of space.
