something I learned about airline tubes

So i recently bought 1/4' arline tubes from home depot due to price, but what happened was when i tried pulling them apart form my aqualifter pump the red
plastic that holds the tubing in place snapped off so now I have to buy a new pump ..

so there is a difference betweent he home depot tubes and ones specifically for
aquariium use... the home depot tubes grabbed onto the plastic inlets sooo tight that it snapped the plastic right off.

the ones made for aquariums are a lot more giving and not as stiff if you will..

easier to take in and out..

I always dip the ends that I am using in boiling water. Amazing chemical reaction, and they become "rubber".
