something like rust in my sand what is it ???????

i have a 65 gallon fowlr tank and i have some rust looking stuff ojn the botton on the sand what is it and how do i get rid of it it doest seam to do anything to fish or water but it just plain looks bad what to do ?????????????

How long has the tank been setup?
Almost sounds like an algae...

Sounds like diatoms. If your tank is fairly new, it's something it will go thru, then go away.
