Something weird is going on

Hello everyone. I need some help. This morning I found an emerald crab dead and my wrass laying on the ground alive, but injured. It looked like a gash around 1/4" thick. I had to go to work n when I retured it was dead. I than saw a similar gash on my hippo tang!! Heis stressed (noticed some spots as well) but eating. The cut has a white round circle (kinda looks like a few parasites in one area). It is not a cut but almost like a bite. Here's a list of the living things in the tank

Yellow tang
Purple tang
Flame angel
2 false perc clowns
5 green chromis
Lipstick blenny
Bangai cardinal
Matted filefish
Cleaner shrimp
5 peppermint shrimp
Strawberry crabs
Emerald crab

Water conditions are normal

It's the round spot at the bottom. It was hard to get a good picture. The wrasse had something similar, it just seemed like a deeper injury. I also forgot to mention that the crab was completely intact. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Could be the Strawberry crabs.

Are they typically aggressive? I've had a strawberry crab for years n never had a problem

All crabs are opportunistic feeders and predatory in nature.

I could see what you mean about the wrass, since it hid in a section underneath a rock. A crab could've come in there and just took a chunk, but the tanks injury looks like a circular bite.

I guess it's all coincidence that there were two injuries at the same time. I worried about the tang, especially since I just switched tanks to a 150, so the tangs have proper swim room....it would have sucked if I lost one.
