Looking into my tank under the moon lights and i see this white stringy stuff on the bottom for the 1st time, had this coral for about a month and its been doing great. anyone now what this is?

The coral is a monitpora digitata

i bet something is bothering it. don't under estimate frogs, one of my tentacles was about 8" long extended! thought keep an eye on it, my SPS only do that when i bother it or something touches.stings it. hope that helps, Wiz ;)

it sure looks like a nudi right there on the bottom;)

Anyone else see it?

Bad... Monti eating nudibranch. They eat the coral and reproduce like mad.

That is a start, but first I would like someone else to confirm what I see. i've had zoa eating nudis, but not monit eating nudis.

But if it is, you'll want to quarantine the coral and treat several times since the dips won't kill the eggs.

Yep nudi for sure, the best results I had was to use a pipette to blow them off in a bucket of course. I also bought a Melanurus wrasse to keep them in check. Act quick b/c they will take over on all your montis in a very short amount of time. Unfortunately this is one of the reasons all coral must go into QT first..

They should, but don't let it get that far;) This frag is still very much worth saving.

I hope that means you placed the coral and not the nudi back in the tank:lol:

Do you have any revive or TMPCC?

Do some research in the SPS forum and see other methods people have used for these suckers;)
