Something's wrong with my rock anemone

Anybody ever seen a rock nem do this? It's mouth has been protruding like this for a few weeks now, I thought it would just go away but it's starting to worry me now. I've had this guy for 3 years and its never done this before, neither has any of my other rocks nems. I have four other ones in the same tank and they are all fine. It also doesn't expand as much as it used to, when he's happy he usually stretches about 7-8" across. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ya me neither, I'm really worried because I've had this guy for a long time and I don't want to lose him

What does it do when it spawns? I'm asking because my girlfriend and I have been throwing around the idea of trying to breed them, but there's not a lot of info out there on doing it.

Have you tried to cipro treat it? It may have a infection. My mag did something similar to that a while back and treatment took care of it in about 3 days

Read the sticky bu orionN on ciproflaxion treatment on the anemone and clown fish page. He has all the details of how to do it there. Most treatments are done on new gigs or mags but ive treated others with it also when they are looking bad and it has helped save a few of them.

He's looking better and getting stickier :-) I didn't do anything, just kept feeding him like regular, which was hard because he was barely sticky and took forever to get it to his mouth, I would have to turn off the pumps and wait for it to be inside his mouth. I wish I knew what caused it but I'm just happy he's recovering.
