hey everyone whats up just wondering if anyone has any experience with these little guys. i have him in a 3 gal picotope, tank has been up and running for about 3+ months. he is the only fish, i was wondering how much and what to feed him? i have read brine shrimp and mysis but he is the size of a dime should i feed him live brine so he can just pick at them all day with out all the rotting of frozen that does not get eatin right away. there are 2 blue leg hermits and 4 nassuris snails and on turbo in there with him. i feed the tank a small amount of phyto plankton and rotifers once a week for all the corals, can he eat rotifers? to small right...... well i dont know any info would help thanks guys.

I thoguht i read somewhere they ate SPS polyps?? If I remember correctly, piclipora are what they live in in the wild or something like that

These fish actually do quite poorly in captivity, they require their hosting coral and remain hidden w/o it. They also feed on this coral, I'm not sure which coral sp. but its usually not shipped w/ the panda.
Scott micheals has an article in a recent magazine that talked about fish to avoid and why, and i believe this fish was listed as it required and fed on the coral

Yes, they live in Pocillopora. Like most clown gobies, they tend to eat free floating micro-organisms and do supplement their diet with coral polyps, though it shouldn't do a large amount of damage. Their really hasn't been any success with this fish, but most people don't keep it in its host coral. I had asked this same question to Bob Fenner and he recommnded trying it, but only with its host coral. He felt that keeping it alone without knowing more of its habits was doomed to failure. While I'd like to try it, I'm currently not adding anything new to my tank in preparation for a 16 hour tank move. Once moved though, I think I will try this fish.
