i need a desingn for a 500 gallon reef and could really use some help

Welcome to RC!
Is this your first tank? in that case check out the newbie forum.
But anyways, I find online stores (like www.liveaquaria.com) very helpful for selecting fish. You'll see pictures, max size, diet, compatibility etc. (but be sure to dubble check everything before purchase!)
Also check out some build threads of similar size tanks in the large tank forum.
