vertex reactor and media on their way. ill get tank and reg later. i cant setup till healed anyway so I got time...
 
Yeah, I will be getting my CUC from reefcleaners, and will also get their refugium algae package as well. had good luck with them last time for my 55 gallon. Still have a bunch of snails going strong from their as well. Have them working on a custom package as we speak. \

Keep healing well, looking forward to how the Ca reactor works for you. Proabably going to dose 2-part myself, we shall see...

will do but might be a month or so till online. I still need other parts and to have 2working arms... lol.

For the reactor though I am going full custom regulator. All stainless. yes more money then carbondoser BUT will last longer, be more stable, and look better...




tex - Yeah I get the costs but I cant justify it for a ball of chateo lol. I might need some refresh of snails shortly so perhaps i order from him again. I have done business with John on numerous occasions. We probably talked for 2 hours over my rocks I wanted for the dry rock...


For the tank I am going through a bit of an algae bloom in a few areas. I have to try to get my reactor back online and get GFO going until I get the fuge all up and running.

I also need to start testing more. I have seen decline in growth and I think I might have to manually dose some until I get the calc reactor online. I have the 2 part so not an issue but something I finally need to monitor more closely,

That is what I plan on doing (getting my chaeto with some snails). My red sea reef mature pro kit says to add CUC on day 10 of the cycle, which will be next Wednesday. So far I do not see any kind of film algae, cyano or anything that would keep even a small CUC alive. If it stays relatively sterile I will likely skip this step and add them when I do see a little bit of life. I will probably order the quick clean up crew (no hermits) for the 75 gallon plus my chaeto and some red gracilia. With a clean up crew and no *items it will ship free.
 
I got the reactor and media in this week and ordered the regulator. It is a custom stainless from our own alanle who started the co2 reg thread. Should be here next week. Once I have that I merely need a co2 tank and I can power it up. I need to clear some space I think and to do so will likely move the ato container to the biocube stand next to the tank.

Likely going to sell my 3155 ato and go with a custom setup with the pmup and float switches. Just need to figure that all out first but I want more floats to handle my awc as backup.

I had gotten a yasha goby from a qt tank at my lfs but haven't seen it since it hit my tank. Not sure if it is still alive or not. Ah well. Lol.

ok ordered 2 fish today so need to get my QT set up before Saturday. Bring out my 2 10 gallon tanks for the TTM then put them in a 20 gal or my 40 for the remainder of the time. Also had a nice shipment of pods and phyto coming.

I also ordered a CO2 tank today. Now I now it is just a tank but I couldn't let it outshine the rest of the gear so I ordered a colored tank.

I will likely leave the red tubing in the vertex and make all CO2 gear be the white and red. My AWC is all orange and the normal plumbing is blue and white. So it should all go together. Likely need to move the ATO to the Biocube stand to make room though which is fine by me.

And I am sure I made you wait enough so I got a blue throat trigger and a tai spot bristletooth tang. I will get these two in then worry about finalizing my fish. I still want a blenny, magnificent foxface, mandarin, and perhaps will retry my harlequin tusk next year..
 
Sweet! Hopefully all goes well with your fish this time. I like the fish list too... which mandarin do you like? Also Harlequin Tusk are a awesome fish but aren't you worried about it cleaning up your cleaning crew?
 
Cleaning crew is in danger with the trigger too. Such is life. Cleaning crew is cheap price to pay to get fish you like

Mandarin will be green spotted I think. Wife picks that one once i confirm my pod population. It's the fish I need right now so I can sit back and watch them as my corals grow out.

My stocking list is pretty similar: I already have two blue chromis and two clownfish that are being hosted by a LTA. I'm also getting a bluethroat trigger, midas blenny, powder brown tang and red mandarin. I also might try a tusk if I feel like it will work. Good luck on the new fish.
 
well darn I have an SPS piece decide to STN on me. Now I need to test the water tonight to ensure I m in scope. Always something. Thankfully it was a piece I was not overly fond of from a swap but still...
 
Hmm something is up and making things unhappy.

Numbers checked out for Calc and alk. My phosphate was minimal. My ammonia tests are bad so need to get new ones tomorrow but doubt it is that. Going to throw some prime and stability in just in case though.

Had another sps start to rtn on me. I fragged it to see if i can save it. Oddly i had a small acan piece go under as well and some corals look angry whereas others have some of the most polyp extension i have seen. It is weird.

Ill go to my lfs tomorrow for him to check water and to talk ot over.
