Sourcing Astaxanthin

Anyone know where to find this? I'm hearing it's expensive, like 7-12 grand a kilo. I'd like to add it to my own concoction, but at that price I would probably have to stick to CE. Someone also mentioned krill as a source. Any thoughts?

I did find it but the purchase of it wa sin 20kg bags or something and yes they are then worth many $1000s

Hi,
Price for astaxanthin in Brazil is around R$400,00 (US$ 180,00) a kilo. There is a report that astaxanthin is being replaced for soybean lectin in trout food to give it a flesh color similar to that of salmons.
Don´t know if it would work for clownfishes external color but who knows ?...

Derek, I don't know if you've looked, but I've gotten small quantities affordably from brineshrimpdirect.com (as naturose). I add it to my homemade gel-based diet as well.
