I'm from NC could you please PM me to tell me where you are getting the sand? Iwould be interested in purchasing in bulk, but have not had any luck in finding a supplier.

The reason they say its not for aquariums is that they used some chemical when they move it onto trucks to keep the dust down. That what their reason was . I dont know if its true but I rinse my sand.

I took the poll and I would love to be in on this. I have a 180 I need to set up with a DSB which is about 550# according to the RC calculator. So I'm interested in 12 to 14 bags.

Update: so I've just been informed that everything looks good for it to happen, but I don't have a sure date of when. Also, due to the cost of shipping and the large amount that would need to be shipped it could cost more than initially posted per bag. Approx. $15-20/50lbs bag.

If the new cost isn't an issue please let me know as this would help out alot. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but as many may already know getting this stuff down here isn't a real easy thing to do.

how many bags come per palet and if you are getting it from homedepot i am surprised that they are charging shipping. I could be wrong but they ship all kinds of stuff from other parts of the country that they do not keep in stock i would just wonder why this would be different. i would still be interested in like 3 bags.

Treeman can get it significantly cheaper and he is fairly close to here to where if we got a truck and went down there, we could get it at 40lbs for $6 for unscreened Bahamas. That price is getting close to CaribSea sand from a website. If anyone is heading down south and would like to pick up sand from Treeman, please pm me before you go. I want some too.
