being a "tweener" in purgatory between Syr and Roch....just thought I'd ask.
Otherwise I think it's awesome. Even if it's not to showcase someone, you could spotlight someones system every month. We could all learn from each others practices in a constructive mannor and see just what each of us is up to.

i think that would be a good idea. just haing someone write up a little tid bit about there tank and how it runs. doesnt need to be the best tank as cully said just doing a different tank each month and we could get a Mod to make it a sticky at the top of the forum each month. i think cuse could be considered in.

I agree with Capt. C. No need to make this a contest but rather a featured tank each month. Each tank I've seen is great in its own respect. The RC TOTMs are great but typically represent sps tanks of people who clearly have great financial resources. My own interest is to see those individuals who have done the most with the least. Or folks whose tanks represent different biotopes, different approaches,/philosophies of reefkeeping etc. This could be really cool if done properly. Everyone here should have an opportunity to showcase their tanks. That includes newbies as well.

do some sort of lottery system? names in a hat? that way no favorites? lay out a few months in advance to give time to do nice pics and write up?

Google also has a free site creation application. I messed around with it a few months ago and was even making a page for my tank. Ill look into it some more and report back what I find. From what I remember it was a bit like Power Point, i.e. pick the rough layout, add pictures, text, set the link, done. Might be an easy way to set up some sites.

IDK i think one thread at a time would be better, more focused on that tank for that month. if you all do it at once smaller tanks would get lost in the hussel. Then we could make a thread (and get it to be a sticky) that says featured tank this month and in that thread we could post who it is that month and link to the thread it is in. this way you dont need to make a web site and we can ask Qand A's on the thread. just a thought.
