I just received this frag via overnight shipping. The water was still warm thanks to the hot pack but.....well the pictures speak for themselves. Is this normal? Will it recover. The picture I saw of it before I got it almost 90% was beautiful bright green and a stunning yellow eye. Now it looks like a piece of crap!! Any help is appreciated.

Looks fine.Im n not sure what it should have looked like from when you purchased it, however... I never trust photos when shipping corals, just too many bad experiences with people trying to scam using Photoshop. I trust my LFS's because I can see the coral in person :-)

Thanks everyone. I guess I feel a little better......and a little scammed!!! Wasn't exactly in the $10 section if you know what I mean.

doesnt look that good to me, ... I ship corals here and there for trades and have fragged my Space Invader several times and it's never turned brown. It doesn't like hi-flow but likes my my led lights both up top or in sand-bed (sand-bed leaves more color in the eyes), if its less than healthy it can peel the flesh and few survive that so I watch the flow and medium light till it colors back in. Any update? If you were local I have a frag in San Diego California I 'd trade or sell I have one left I think. I just ordered a different three color pectinia from an L A store via Fedex for the coral that I hope arrives in good shape. They are pretty easy to keep and grow pretty fast but send out some long stringers so give them some room in your tank or they'll sting something close to them. I don't know what you paid, but this was $60 bucks locally on the forum, and the other picture below is two pectinias I may let fuse as they seem fine next to one another, the below frag is 2 lobes about 3/4 inch tall, but I am out of frags for at least a month as several eyes are coming in I wont be cutting it for a while, possibly one remains

fusion I am looking to do is between these two

I fragged my space invader this week and all frags are well except one. One floated off plug the next day. I picked it up and re-glued it, they tend to be tough to glue as they slime up heavily, anyway the following day that same frag browned out, then peeled. I am guessing you had a similar issue and it is either the glue or touching them that causes the brown-out.

I am guessing the piece above from the original post melted as well if there is an update?
