I'll take it, I'm rebuilding my sumps and I don't want to use PVC. As long as I can use ballvalves and tees I'll take it.

Man, just got my allowance and part of it's gone already - but that's OK.

Are you sure the regular pvc glue works with this stuff? The reason I ask is I am going to be plumbing a drain on my tank with spa flex soon and I was told to use the blue glue but I'm not sure that it is reef safe. I have to start the tank up pretty much after I am done plumbing and I don't want to kill any corals with that blue stuff. I'm pretty sure the regular glue is safe after about an hour. Has anyone used the regular glue long term on the spa flex? If there is any spaflex left over please let me know.

Dang if anyone have any left over Ill take whats left :D thanks.....Was too busy building my stand :(

well reefartist has dibs on it.she will have some left most likely.the regular glue works fine, the blue glue is for wet applications(it is made to use when the pipes are wet already)you can get super duty clear glue(has more filler in it)but if you make a proper glue joint with regular glue you will be fine.i just set up my closed loop with it,i didnt even prime mine and not one leak out of any of my glue joints.

Hey checkinhawk - I could come and get it Thursday if you'll be around. Let me know, I can come over anytime.

I used 1.5 inch and 2 inch on my 390, using purple primer and pvc glue. I've never used anything else on spaflex, and never had a problem.

reefartist i dont think i will be home at normal time.i have to go over to the desal plant in apollo beach and do some repairs.

Thanks for the info on the glue. I think I'm going to do it this weekend with the regular pvc glue. Has anyone used wet pvc glue on a reef tank full of corals? I don't want to nuke my tank, I'm going to have to start the tank back up after I do the plumbing.

is there any way you can let the glue dry for a day or so?it would be better if it isnt still fuming when you start up.

I think I might try and do that. Still trying to come up with a way to do that. Thanks for the help.

The blue glue, rain-n-shine, is safe and works well on the SpaFlex especially when cross-linking plastic types, ie pvc to bulkheads.

Thanks "Evil John" for the information. I've never used the blue glue but in this endeavor I might give it a try. I always thought the rain-n-shine was for working in the rain or when in our application our pipes are wet (as in Emsters usage). If it makes the pipes bond better it's worth the little extra bucks - IMO.

ReefArtist...Let me know if you have any leftover. I'll buy.

OK mflamb it's yours if you need it. I have 20+ feet available, I didn't need but around 5' or so. I'll sell it to you for 15$ - this will pay for my other plumbing parts I need to purchase :D.

I'm going to be at Johns in Oldsmar Saturday, I'd say between 11 and 12. I need to first go to a glass place in Tampa and once I'm finished there will be going to Oldsmar. If you don't have time this weekend anytime is good for me (Next weekend etc) - just let me know if you're still interested - K?
