Spare 20g - seahorses maybe

I have a spare 20 gallon high and am wondering if I could keep seahorses in it. If so what kind and is anyone selling them here? I will use a HOB filter with sponge and/or stocking over intake.

Thanks,

A 20g tank is not sufficient for most normal seahorses, and too large for dwarf zostera but if you can find some, H. fuscus could fit the bill.
However, if you hook up a sump that will hold at least 10g of water then you could keep a pair of normal sized seahorses like erectus or reidi.
Check out the links at the bottom of MY THOUGHTS ON SEAHORSE KEEPING.
The first link is to the seahorse care guide.

I have H. erectus that will be ready in about 2 weeks. I do suggest a protein skimmer. I disagree that a 20g is not large enough. However, maintenance must be done more often.

We have a mixed pair (erectus F, reidi M) in a chilled 18T (AKA 20 XT). We run a HOB power filter (double volume-sized) and live macro in the tank (no skimmer). They do fine, altho IME, SH will use every bit of space you give them.

My two biggest recommendations are live macro and a cool tank (<74*F).

I have a handful that are ready now, both males and females. However, I'm going out of town on Tuesday and won't be back until Saturday. So I will be able to ship next week.
